The campaign may have ended ... but we still have stories to tell! Here are some reports from more of the cities where Steve Karlen, the North American outreach director for 40 Days for Life, had an opportunity to visit and pray with local leaders and volunteers
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY
Louisville is home to one of the last two abortion centers in Kentucky. While Steve was in Louisville, he learned that the previous day there were three babies saved. This is the tenth campaign for 40 Days for Life here.
With a pregnancy help center right next-door, and another one on the same block, the prayer volunteers certainly have life-affirming resources available for women who arrive at the abortion business, thinking that abortion is their only option.
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
This is the also tenth 40 Days for Life vigil in Nashville. ?What I noticed immediately about Nashville ? and what impressed me so much ? is how on-point the prayer volunteers were,? Steve said. ?Not a woman approaches the doors of the abortion center without being informed, lovingly, that there was help available.?
Many of the women heading for the abortion center seem willing to talk to the vigil participants. And the volunteers in Nashville made sure that everybody knew to pray for them.
COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA
?What a pleasure and a blessing it was to have Steve stop by and visit and pray with us,? said Catherine, the local coordinator in Council Bluffs. ?It was encouraging and inspirational.?
She said the vigil continues to grow. ?We are actually getting more people to come out and pray with us!?
