Notes

The Spring 2026 Berwyn Heights 40 Days for Life campaign is from Wednesday, February 18 through Sunday, March 29, and the vigil hours are 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Our vigil site is the sidewalk next to Metropolitan Family Planning (MFP), 5915 Greenbelt Road in Berwyn Heights. Please stay on the public right-of-way and do not step onto the MFP parking lot. Parking is available on 60th Avenue and other nearby streets. Please do not park in the MFP, Xtra, or US Fuel lots.

Our vigil is a sign of contradiction and of hope to the women who come to MFP, their companions, the MFP staff, and the community. We are a prayerful, peaceful presence at a place that promises an easy way out but delivers death and despair. We give witness to the inherent dignity of all human beings, especially to the inherent dignity of the unborn babies whose lives are at risk. We are a sign that abortion is a terrible tragedy and can never be accepted as something normal. We are a sign that there is a better way.

Over the years of the Pro-Life Movement, experience has shown that to be present with an attitude of love is a much more effective way to change hearts, save lives, and save souls than to be confrontational and scolding.

All vigil participants must sign and abide by the Statement of Peace. See the Resources section at right.

Please use the Vigil Calendar to sign up for vigil hours. How many hours is up to you. Many vigil participants commit to one hour per week, and some do more than that, but even a single hour during the campaign makes a difference!
