2026 Lenten Prayer for Life - 40 Days for Life
Our Prayer Vigil is directed toward ending the abortions that are performed at the Auckland Medical Aid Centre (AMAC), or enabled by them. This abortion facility has a legally enforceable exclusion zone ('safe area'), and we are currently unable to have a physical presence inside this zone for our Vigil.
Where will the Vigil be?
Our Vigil's physical location will be just outside the exclusion zone, at:
- Corner of Dominion Rd and Prospect Terrace (on the SE corner, adjacent to the Kip McGrath facility - 360A Dominion Rd).
Vigil Days and Hours
Our Vigil will commence on Ash Wednesday (18 February) and will end on Palm Sunday (29 March). Our physical presence at the Vigil site will be:

Statement of Peace
It is a 40 Days for Life requirement of that we Vigil participants each read and sign a new Statement of Peace for 2026:
- In New Zealand, we have an amended version of the 40 Days for Life Statement of Peace. It differs slightly from the one on the 40 Days for Life website (amended with permission of 40 Days for Life).
- Blank copies of the Statement of Peace will be available in a folder in the 'resources box' at the Vigil site. Alternatively you can ask our Vigil coordinator to email you a copy, and bring it with you to the Vigil site.
- Please ensure you read and understand this Statement of Peace, and sign it, and provide a signed copy to our Vigil coordinator.

Final Palm Sunday Candlelight Vigil
As is our tradition, we will complete our 2026 Lenten Prayer campaign for life with a Candlelight Vigil Sunday 29 March (Palm Sunday):

Potter's Park (corner of Dominion Road and Balmoral Road). This final event is always a wonderful and well attended Vigil, so come along and join the throng!
