STATEMENT OF PEACE

This MUST be signed by all volunteers at the vigil - this can be done by registering your account on this website. Please print a copy to have with you when you are doing the witness.

I testify to the following:

While standing on the public right of way in front of the abortion clinic:

  1. I will only pursue peaceful solutions to the violence of abortion when volunteering with the 40 Days for Life campaign
  2. I will show compassion and reflect Christ’s love to all abortion clinic employees, volunteers and customers
  3. I understand that acting in a violent or harmful manner, immediately and completely dissociates me from the 40 Days for Life campaign
  4. I am in no way associated with the abortion clinic or its affiliates either by way of employment, informant, volunteer, client, or otherwise
  5. I will not obstruct the driveways or footpath
  6. I will stand  either next to the Tesco facing the clinic from across the road or on the same side of the road as the clinic on either side of the entrance but not blocking it
  7. I will not drop litter on the public right of way
  8. I will closely attend to any children I bring to the prayer vigil
  9. I will not threaten, physically contact, or verbally abuse the abortion clinic employees, volunteers, or customers
  10. I will not vandalise private property
  11. I will cooperate with the local authorities and the police
  12. I will only use posters or banners authorised by 40 Days For Life /the Capaign leader during abortion centre opening hours. Outside these hours these are also permitted  and we encourage volunteers to use them if they wish to make obvious to the general public why we are there.

PEACEFUL VIGILS CODE OF GOOD PRACTICE
